The day after I moved into our house last summer, my next door neighbor told me she'd seen a bear in my yard just the day before. I kinda flipped out...
It's been almost a year exactly, and lookie who stopped by today to snag my left over lunch.
I really need a garbage disposal.
I guess I won't be going on a lot of walks with the wee beasties this weekend. Methinks we'll go to the park instead.

OMG! Gulp.
she's kind of a pig.
be careful!
Oh My! My parents live on 80 acres in the middle of Ontario bear country, and we've never seen a bear there. But they do hang out around the coffee shops in the tourist towns, LOL.
Our town does cubside compost pick up with our garbage. We have to use special bins that are supposed to be raccoon proof, but I don't think they would stop a bear!
Yikes!!
That is one brazen bear. My favorite part of that video, is the running through the house to get the next shot.
;-)
I'm with Claudia, the video is very Blair Witch. ;)
I think she's kind of cute...
DUUUUUUUUDE...ummmm....yeah. Maybe I won't swing by for a few days....
It must be bear season as my parents had one, too. http://flickr.com/photos/kefyali/2511578798/ however, they were thrilled. my dad used to put treats out to encourage revisits. of course, as you know, they live in the middle of nowhere NH and are slightly crazy.
Holy. Crap.
Wow. I mean, that's a BEAR.
Holy Crap!
Holy crap!!! And I thought the raccoons stealing our bags of birdseed were annoying.
Wow! In broad daylight, no less! I think the bear would probably be afraid of you but still...I wouldn't take any chances. Do you have a wildlife/game officer in your county? Sometimes they will come and trap "nuisance" animals. Good luck! Blogless Mary Lou
